Some News

Here are some updates on what is going with our group:

• We decided to change our name to “Alliance for Animals Student Chapter”. We didn’t feel like people were taking the name “Student for Animals” seriously enough, plus with the new name we’ll be listed second on the club directory at school. Not to mention, Alliance for Animals is a very well respected, well-known group and seeing as we ARE the official Student Chapter, it works to our benefit to have their name in ours. I’m debating on whether or not to change the link to the blog though. Is it too confusing?
• We have finally established meeting times for the club this semester. It took way too long, if you ask me… Jessie will be holding meetings on Mondays at 4 pm in room 140. I will be holding meetings on Tuesdays at 10 am in room 140. Both meetings will be synchronized to cover the same topics. Where there are big projects to be worked on, we’ll be tackling different aspects of the project to finish sooner, as well as get as many people involved as possible.

As for what is on the horizon for us, I don’t know just yet.
I’m hoping we will have a pretty solid group come to meetings and get involved but… I guess we will just have to wait and see.
